This is the second straight year that 2K has failed to distinguish between two giants considered to be the top center in the world. The last time, both were given 95 out of 100 in 2K22.I feel like I’m eating out of Ronnie 2K’s hand at the moment. It’s true that we’re in the dog days of the offseason and with Kevin Durant pressing pause on the Brooklyn Nets’ doomsday device just a few days ago but what else is there to discuss?
No matter if it’s Madden, NHL, FIFA, MLB the Show, or any other major sport league video game, the publication of each player’s rankings always provokes heated discussions. When you make public the rankings of everyone in a given league, it’s only normal to get a few crying fans, scorned rivals and the feeling of being snubbed.
The athletes themselves have even spoken out on occasion about their ratings to help further debate the issue. Durant did so earlier this week, as did an old teammate in Klay Thompson. Both seemed unhappy with their scores, to in the least.It’s my opinion that game designers create this on purpose. They put out ratings that are just enough controversial to stir up controversy without ruining the game’s integrity. By doing this, they promote discussion about their new game in hope that more people buy it.
Because of this, it seems like I’m doing exactly what folks over on NBA 2K want right now. And, of course, what else do you have to say? Regardless of their motives, the NBA 2K team released its latest game featuring its ratings for players this week. That includes Brooklyn’s 2022-23 roster Cheap MT 2K23. It was expected that a few of their player ratings seemed somewhat off-putting, perhaps rude.
